How to make sailing ship

sailing ship

I suggest making such a paper sailboat on February 23 as a souvenir

For work, you will need color office paper, wooden skewers for shish kebabs (masts), a piece of plasticine, threads

sailing ship

We begin work. We fold the boat (origami scheme “sampan”). We need a square obtained from A4 sheet (about 20 by 20 cm)

sailing ship

We add the basic form “Damn”, that is, all the corners of our square should meet in the center of the square.

sailing ship

Return the two opposite corners in place and bend the corners to the formed line, as in the photo …

sailing ship

Bend as it was (photo 4)

sailing ship

Turn over to the other side

sailing ship

And now connect the lower and upper part of the square with the middle line (BF “Door”). At the edges of the figure formed small triangles, we will bend them to the top.

sailing ship

Bent the upper triangles to the top

sailing ship

And the lower ones too were bent (the fold goes right along the side of the small triangle)

sailing ship

The next folds will make the nose of the boat even narrower. Folds go through dashed lines (photo)

sailing ship

It turned out such a lozenge

sailing ship

And now we connect the upper and lower vertices of the rhombus with the middle, the fold will pass through the dotted line

upper

And the lower part is bent towards the middle. Now we have to turn our boat out. To do this, you need to put your fingers in the middle (where the arrow and first raise the sides of the boat, on one of them an arrow is drawn, and then carefully remove the figure.

sailing ship

Folding the boat in half (fold “Mountain”, that is, from myself)

sailing ship

View from above: it is seen that the edge is multilayered, you need to grab these layers together (the arrow shows what you need to take together) and turn to the other side first the upper, then the lower multi-layered edge. This is the bottom of the boat, the sides will be on the other side …

sailing ship

We turned the figure

sailing ship

First, they twisted one side

sailing ship

Then carefully twist the other, the photo shows how to take the edge (this is the other side)

sailing ship

Finished boat, you can compare with photo 18 and everything will be clear

Masts (skewers) are strengthened on pieces of plasticine

sailing ship

We cut the sails

sailing ship

We strengthen the sails (I made holes at the top and bottom of the sail, but you can pierce the holes directly if the skewer is located with a sharp end to the top)

To make the mast, located at the bow at an angle (bowsprit), I had to cut the nose of the boat, the end was inserted into the clay. I glued a triangular sail to the mast on one side, and pierced the needle with a thread on the other and secured it to the top of the straight mast.

Rear small sail simply strengthened on plasticine

On the top of the three masts glued flags. The ship is ready.
