But sometimes remain without natural light and accommodations. Most often this happens if a family with children living in a studio apartment and forced to share a single room wall to get at least some privacy. But what if there is a dedicated part of the window? After all, to be in a room with no windows very uncomfortable. There is a solution – an imitation thereof.

Imitation windows (1)

Ways to make a false window a lot. This can be illuminated niche in the wall, or glued to the wall wallpapers with stylized window frames. A more sophisticated version – illuminated from the inside wall panel with city views or a stained-glass window. But if too much is spent is not possible to repair or postponed for some time, can be simulated with the help of an ordinary window foil. It reflects the light and thus similar to glass.

To create a simulation, you will need:

  • ordinary adhesive tape,
  • cardboard,
  • silver or gold foil
  • paint or glue (ordinary PVA or wallpaper).

Imitation windows (2)

From cardboard cut out a square of this size, what we should be “windows”. It will be a template for cutting the foils. The aluminum paper can be precisely cut with scissors or a special knife for cutting linoleum. But the more interesting and decorative such “windows” will look if the edges of the aluminum paper will chet uneven. Then the bright light of your “box” will look decorative panels.
In order to foils the edges were a little rough, place a square of cardboard on the foil, press down on it and carefully break off the edges of the aluminum paper.

Mark the wall so that you would be uniformly formed all the squares. Define a rectangle of your “window” and obkleyte on the edge tape. This will help you to easily paint over the rectangle from the inside, not to intercede for the region. Rectangle stain paint, then shooting scotch.

While the paint is dry, straight at her impose rectangles of foil and smooths their wad. This should be done very carefully, because the foils is easy to tear and adheres well to the paint. However, if you do not have time to stick to the paint or glue afraid it does not matter – you will always come to the aid of ordinary glue, which can be glued to the foil after drying the painted surface.

When the work is ready, put before the simulated window table with a lamp or candles. The light will be reflected from them in aluminum paper and create the illusion of this window.
