A few pictures. This live dahlias.
Dahlia in the nature of a great variety of different colors and shapes. I’ll tell you how to do sharopodobny dahlia. At first I wanted to make them out of felt. Felt very comfortable to use and does not crumple, not Mohr, do not need to handle the product edge, soft to the touch, various colors for sale. I cook a few tones, but decided to try other stuff.
The fact that not all felt or have no possibility to buy. And the price depending on the store is different at times.
So I took a rag for cleaning viscose. This material is much less felt and looks very reminiscent of his, sold in any hardware store. I had a four-color, but the stores there are also other colors. Cut into strips the length of 35-45 cm and a width of 2 cm (one flower took 3-4 bars). The entire length of carved rounded petals. To petals were more alive, they need to touch up paint a brighter hue. This material is also felt as easy to paint with acrylic paints. After drying, the paint is not afraid of water. Just casually along one edge of the paint is applied.
You can first cut the petals, and then embellish them. But it seemed to me more quickly immediately paint over all the strips, and then cut out the petals. Bands with petals ready. To base a dahlia I cut two circles for each color viscose diameter of approximately 5 cm. You can just sew / stick gum or buckle for brooches. Two mug sew around the perimeter, synthetic padding stuffing, sew up the hole. And so with all the circles. To look more three-dimensional petals in the center of each petal base drip a drop of glue and pressed tightly. Suitable glue “Master”, “Titan”, but it is much faster to work with Thermo. All petals glued. Grounds sewn. Getting to the assembly. petals strip glued to the ground, starting from the outer edge to gradually cover the entire circle. Ready flower turns chubby, but, despite this, it weighs quite a bit. Back side. You can sew / glue or fasteners gum. My youngest model Annie. Rejoice your loved ones!
