How to make orange candle
Orange recipe:
– an orange large candle (instead of it used medium orange + medium yellow + slightly red, in order to get the right shade in total);
– The candle is white (you can slice it);
– cardboard (preferably glazed on one side or all the others));
– scissors;
– compasses;
– Two-sided adhesive tape or glue;
– a cooker (or something else, with which you can reheat a saucepan of water);
– a saucepan with water;
– an orange is big and beautiful :);
– knife;
– ladle (in which to melt the wax/wax) – it can be replaced by some other capacity, which will need to be held with pliers or mitten … or through a rag.
1. Cooking orange peel.
Cut the orange across in half, gently carve the inside and eat it, the remaining peel carefully cleaned from the scraps and dried with a hairdryer
Step 2. We prepare the cardboard separator for the lobes
While our “mold” is being ventilated, we cut out from the cardboard a semicircle of radius equal to the radius of the orange. Of course, I can explain how to find out the radius of an orange (type: measure the length of the “equator” with a thread, divide this number by 6, 28 and subtract the thickness of the peel), but why such wisdom when you can look at the eye? The main thing is that you can not make a mistake in a smaller direction – better in a bigger one, then, if too, then you can cut it off.
In short, your task is to make as many semicircles as you plan. After making the first semicircle, insert it into the rind. It is necessary that he kept tight, but did not distort its shape.
After making all the semicircles, bend them in half with the glossy side inside:
Now, on the left side of each “corner” (or on the right – the main thing, so that for all corners to the same), glue the double-sided adhesive tape and trim the shape:
Alternately glue all the corners in such a thing:
Put it in the peel.
If you did everything correctly, the mold will sit tight. Step 3. Prepare the “dough” for the orange.
Cut the candles (except white) along, take out the wick, paraffin shred.
Step 4. Cooking slices.
We are painting a colored wax in a ladle immersed in hot water. Water in a saucepan to bring to a boil is not necessary.
Pour the melted dough into a mold
When a little grasp, but it will still be warm and supple, draw, squeezing out, rather than scratching, the structure.
Then, if the paraffin is still warm, then we conduct a knife along each face and carefully take out the cardboard.
Step 5. Prepare white streaks.
We put the wick in the center.
When the orange completely cools and solidifies, we drown the white wax and pour it into the grooves.
Step 6. We decorate the table.
When the orange is ready, blow the top with a hot hair dryer to give a shine.
Here is our result!
