chop dark fabric into strips 3,6,9, and 12 cm. The length of each band must be a multiple of 3. For starters, better to take the strip of 4 cm – it will be easier to sew, the drawing will be larger.

The finished block – called steps or stairs or have a lot of names of block size 15×15
