Today I want to show the weaving of mandala on a cardboard basis. This mandala is also called the “Portuguese Star”
For the basis, we need a tight cardboard, I cut out a figure of two squares superimposed on each other, it turns out such a star. In the Corners I stuck pins with a round head, you can put them on the glue or just tightly drive into the cardboard.
Since I whip Mandal for luck and prosperity, I immediately glued a “happy” coin to the center. but this is not necessary, you can decorate the center at your own discretion, you can weave the mandala on the desire and write on your cardboard basis your desire or think about it in the process of weaving. The center of the mandala will be visible, so it is better to decorate it, you can just a beautiful piece of colored paper.
We will need crochet threads of different colors, the iris will fit, you can be thicker, depending on what size you will be weaving the mandala. Choose colors at your discretion. I start with the dark blue. I’m trying the thread to the pin.
